How It Works

Step 1:

Submit Your CD Collection

Rip2iPod provides all the supplies and packaging to safely transport your CD collection to our facility. You simply place your individual CDs into our CD spindles (50 or 100 per spindle) and ship your collection (without jewel case) for digital conversion and archive.

Depending on order size, Rip2iPod will use either UPS or FedEx for transporting your discs from each location. Included in your shipping package is a pre-paid return shipping label.

Rush orders are available by special request.

Step 2:

Let The Ripping Begin

The CD Ripper service is a slow and boring one. On average, a single song will take between 4-6 minutes to convert from CD to digital MP3 or similar. The average CD collection is 250 CDs. This translates into a massive CD ripping session of 20 hours. That's 20 solid hours of doing nothing else - and who's going to do that? In addition, you then need to enter the ID tags to make an organized library. It's far from automated!

However, Rip2iPod uses state-of-the-art automated CD Ripper equipment for continuous, professional digital archive with advanced software features for automated ID tagging and meta data organization and album artwork association. Our systems will continuously rip 100s of CDs without stopping.  We are the experts, let us do the heavy lifting.

Step 3:

Sit Back & Enjoy

The final step is repackaging your CDs, printing the rip log and burning your digital music files to DVD. Rip2iPod will then box up your order and ship everything back for your enjoyment.

Step 4:

We Lied - There IS a Fourth Step

Spread the word. That's right, we blatantly ask you to refer our services to your friends and families. Rip2iPod doesn't do much with advertising, we do 70% of our business through referrals. If you can spread the word, it would be much appreciated.
